"Honest, officer. I saw the whole thing. He said he couldn't stand working in a junkyard anymore, so he threw himself into the crusher while it was running."

"Then how do you explain your fingerprints being all over the controls, and the witness that said he heard the guy screaming, 'Stop! Stop! I'm sorry I crushed that Capri! I'll never do it again, I swear!'?"

"Ummm ... he changed his mind, and I was, uhh ... trying to stop the machine...? "

If I'd had the money, I would've bought the front end and hood off that Capri just so it'd be saved, but alas, I am a broke and penniless fool and, thus, a bad, bad boyfriend...

Sick? Twisted? C'mon. Tell me you didn't wanna push the dude responsible for that car's death in the crusher when we saw the remains of that poor Capri...

I mean, I can understand their need to clear stuff out to make room for other cars and all that, but c'mon ... those guys HAD to know that thing was rare. Obviously, they know SOMETHING about what cars are worth, because they've had that old '69 Mustang in that yard for like a year, now. I think they just did it because they're butthole Chevy dudes at heart, or something...

over the last year i've crushed a '92 gt convert, and '87 4 popper hatch, and an '81 ttop 4 cylinder car without a second thought. the only one i stripped was teh '87, and i took the seats and rear end from the '92.

i'd never crush a pace car or anything rare, but these were junk

we need to create a mustang yard.. except inclosed from evironment. no crushing just letting people use parts..

A guy I know has a warehouse full of Mustangs and parts.
He takes all the usable parts off the ones that cant be saved (wrecks, etc) and has alot of complete cars. Most are 4 eyes and Capri's.

We have a local yard called Missouri Mustang and its Mustangs of all years (a few random ford oldies that share some parts but 99% stangs) It has saved my tail a few times instead of having to pay new price for like new items. (not to mention I can help put part of an old stang back on the road) Need more yards like these. There are many of these cars that have good parts left but places are just crushing them for all the foreign and domestic pos's that die after 80k.

That Capri could have been saved. There were no dents on the body. NONE.
