Got a little curb rash on one of my Bullitt style rims. Not to bad, but I want it off. About a 3 inch section on the lip. How can I remove it? Thanks.

Well first, get a chisel and a hammer and just start chipping away at the bad part....j/k. I'm not real familiar with wheel repair but a friend of mine does that kind of stuff for his business. Is there someone in your area that you can take it to? If you can't find anything, pm me and I'll get you his number.

I fixed some light rash on my old Bullits using some fine sandpaper. Just lightly sand out the scratches and paint the area with a clear coat. I used an enamel based clear out of a spray bottle.

Go to www.bullittarchive.com, in the search box at the bottom of the page put in "rims" . It's got some good info on how to fix your rim with photos. Rick

Is there any specific kind of clearcoat to use when doing this?
