I sat and made a list of all the crap that's gone wrong putting this car together and it's depressing LOL. new flex plate needed, new motor mounts, cross member brace fabricated, new valve covers, new intake, water pump was shot, replaced belts, and to top it off when we lifted the motor on the hoist to put it in the chain broke and the motor dropped and cracked the tailshaft of the trans. So on top of everthing else I had to buy a new C-4. i was supposed to go to Nashville but that's now off, this car was supposed to be an easy swap but you know how that goes LOL. Hope you guys had a nice Easter holiday

Look on the brite side.

How's the old saying go... "If it wasn't for bad luck I'd have no luck at all"

Nothing worthwhile is ever easy, and easy accomplishments are less satisfying.

Using that premise, when you finally finish, you'll have one helluva grin on your face by the sounds of it! :nice:

The Saga continues....motor was dropped in this morning, everything hooked up, ground cable fastened, all fuel lines and other wires wire tied and secured, oil filled, rad filled...Moment of truth. FIred up and made a loud tapping noise. The 50 ounce weight hits the aluminum cage that goes around the nose of the starter. pulled the starter out, and tomorrow i have to grind on the "cage" so to speak so it doesn't hit. I was also told I have to change my brass gear on my distributor to a billet steel one, so more money. Oh well....almost home free....free...HA HA

I should add....the motor is strong as hell, this car out to go like hell when done

keep the faith brother :D

I worked on my Mach for 8 years, and there were times where I thought that there was some kind of un-natural force that would not allow me to ever finish it. If you work long enough and hard enough, it is possible, or in my case I just kicked my wife out on her &*^ and got a big pimpin' bank loan :rlaugh: Money is the grease that lubes the gears of car restoration? :D

Keep your chin up Brian. It been a long raod for most of us. I had reservations for the show in TN this weekend. Had to cancel because the first body shop dicked me around for over a month. It is still at the body shop and Isn't much closer to being done than when I took it there. But I show make Carlisle. I'll be the modified section, hopefuly thay don't seperate our group too much this year. But we'll see. I've been down your road man this paint job/body work was supposed to be done 3 years ago. I have a months work of reassembly work to do when I get it back. Keep plugging at it you'll get it there! :nice: :nice:

Tim

BTW: We are staying at the Howard Johnson's in Carlisle, with the local Mustang club I joined, and Jon and his family as well. Should be a great time. Hope to see you there.
