I'm about to put the stang away for the winter and start my projects, one of which is a custom gauge cluster. I already have an Autometer voltage, oil pressure, water temp, and a tach.
So first question...which 3 3/8" speedo and which 2 1/16" fuel level gauge do I need (in the Ultra-Lite series). I was thinking...
Speedo...with the proper sender

Fuel Level...still need to find out how many ohms is full/empty. Anyone?
Next question pertains to the dummy lights. When the computer triggers a dummy light, does it illuminate the light by giving it a 12 volt source or by giving it a ground?
Last question for now...if I completely mess up the install, will the car still start and run? Actually a better question would be if the car will start without the stock cluster even plugged in?
