Cut Pile: Carpet

Has anyone replaced the original type carpet with cut pile carpet? What did you think? What company did you use? Would you do it again? I found this company but am looking for any advice. http://www.stockinteriors.com/autocarpet.asp?Itemid=873&MakeId=8&ModelId=201

I used ACC carpet,but I would not use a "original" type,that stuff fades to quick.

I ordered my cut pile carpet directly from Auto Custom Carpets (ACC). They have a huge selection of different carpet types in any color you want. You just pick the carpet and color and they will heat and pressure mold it to fit your car year, make and model. Same cost and quality as the cheap OEM fade fast heathered loop carpet.

I got my carpet from Trim Parts and I liked it alot. My buddy got the exact same color in Cut Pile and it's held up pretty well. His car is garaged and only driven on nice days so it doesn't have much chance to fade. I will say this, the cut pile feels nicer when your leg brushes up against it.

Great choice, the cut pile looks so much better in a modified car in my opinion, plus its easier to clean as the loop traps things.

When I was shopping last year for pile carpet, everything that I found was made made by ACC. The benefit with them is it is molded and padded for a decent price. They have a good reputation too and probably tough to beat when you consider everything. If you wanted to "gamble" on another mfg., make sure you get a sample and talk to some with a stang to make sure it fits better than ACC.

Stuff like soda or anything you drink is a pain to get out. The cut pile seems to respond better to the carpet cleaners you find out there.

Alot of people don't realize the options they have I guess . I have seen both in cars and the cut pile doesn't look as harsh. I have the original 80-20 and it's not bad, don't get me wrong....everything has it's pros and cons.
