Hey Guys and Gals

95 3.8 mustang... Missing at idle lightly and When I hit the gas the engine dies down, sputters for a split second and picks up... drives great on highway.... any suggestions?

New plugs/wires, K&N filter... Thought I heard a hissing at the pcv but I think it was just the valve humming along...

What do you think?

Replace the fuel filter. Clean the MAF. Use cleaner designed for it.

Check for vacuum leaks. If you can hear a hissing sound, likely there is a leak. Today's car will NOT run right with even the tiniest vacuum leak.

The TPS is important for a 95. May need to test.

thanks burns! I cleaned the MAF i forgot to mention that earlier... I was afraid of just replacing stuff because I have been in that loop before and before I know it i've dropped more money that a diagnostic and a fix myself would have been originally... but I guess I can just chalk it up to preventative maintenance!

alright... check engine light came on...

P0174 System Too Lean - Bank No. 2
P1150 Lack of Upstream Heated Oxygen Sensor Switch - Adaptive Fuel Limit - Bank No. 2.
P1151 Lack of Upstream Heated Oxygen Sensor Switch - Sensor Indicates Lean - Bank No. 2.
P1152 Lack of Upstream Heated Oxygen Sensor Switch - Sensor Indicates Rich - Bank No. 2.

Did the Bank 2 sensor one go out at the exact same time as the bank1 sensor1?

Check your fuses.

Check for vacuum leaks. In case you didn't get I will say it again. Even the SMALLEST vacuum leak will cause problems.

Your particular codes are usually the result of a BIG vacuum leaks. In fact, I think you may have a leak in/around the EGR tube.

While you are at it, change the PCV valve. What is the condition of the vacuum lines from the PCV valve to the engine? Old/soft/cracked/oil soaked?
