i like the bullit susp. kit, but it's not low enough for me (1in.). has anyone got the kit and cut the springs a bit????? i was thinking about giving it a try. i would like at least a 1.25 in. drop.
i dunno. i kinda like the kit, but i just can't decide. i really want coil-overs so i can adjust the height of my car when i want, but it would cost way more. I keep asking myself if i need anything more than the bullit kit though. It's mostly for looks anyways.
i'm thinking about getting x2c coil-overs. they are like $360. Thats a pretty good deal for the front AND back. Plus they have control arms for $150 right now too.
The problem with cutting coils is you are changing the spring rate when you cut them. The Bullit springs are 600 lbs per inch compressed and are app 10", so when you cut them it makes the spring shorter, now it takes more to pounds per inch to compress them due to the shorter spring.
Might be better off cutting stock springs which have a lower rate. Then after cutting you would be at a higher rate.
I wouldn't do it. That kit has everything tuned to work together. I think if you go wacking stuff up, it will ride like ****. Why not just get some Ford B or C springs if you are on the cheap and piece together your own kit?
