A buddy of mine was gonna sell me some ported E7's so I went over to check them out last night. But the casting number on them is D8OE. Are they any good? Can I use then on my fuel injected car? They did a nice port job on the intake and exhaust but did not blend the bowls at all. Any input????? Please help he wants any answer soon.

Casting codes

C = 60's
D = 70's
E = 80's
F = 90's

So D8OE means it's a 1978 casting. So it's a smog head. Probably has BIG chambers.

Yeah sounds like they are 69cc. CC's. Oh well I guess I will pass on them.

The D80's most likely are late 70's. Later ones do have the bolt down rockers and should be direct bolt ons.

They do have the large 69 cc chambers, but you could mill them and make up for some of that.

I ported a set and they added 2-3 tenths, over identical stock heads. I did not mill them, but with I had!

If the price is right they are ok, but if you have to spend money, the E7's and such are a better starting point.
