Damage crank after pilot bearing change.

Ok. a body when to the local mecanic for a clutch change.He ask the guy to change the pilot and throw out bearing at the sam e time.But the gut had to remove the pilot with a cutting PUNCH and a HAMMER!!.It was stock in place he said.The problem.if its one, is that the crankshaft is now scratch and have little grooves around the bearing because of the punch he used.

Is this a problem? Can this cause vibrations or **** the crank balance?

yes i would say it would be a problem... i used to be a crank shaft machinist and those cranks have to be perfect!! Anything small like that can cause vibrations etc.. its just not safe if there is any damage to it... make them fix it pull it apart to inspect it and replace it if there is anything wrong with crank...
