I did my brakes last and found out this morning that you are not supposed to compress the rear calipers piston the same way that you do the fronts ( like with a C-Clamp) but I guess that they get compresses by rotating the piston. Did I damage the rear calipers by not turning them back to compress them or can I just go back and do this step now. It has only been driven about 15 miles. Thanks alot everyone. Your help is appreciated.

I havent had to put brakes on my car yet..but from experiance the cars that i have worked on that the pistons needed to be turned while goin back in,would not go back in unless you turned them If ya brakes are workin ok..dont worry about it..lol

Yeah, I have not been able to compress then like that?

Are you sure did you use the same pads or put new on there?

I don't see how you could have gotten then on with new pads?

I've tried pressing the front pistons and couldn't get it without rotating in...

like they said above, you'll be good with the same pads, but you wouldn't have been able to put new pads on and fit it all back on the rotor without doing something right
