It'll ail you until that time you make a spark and set the "mixture" on fire ;)

Pour some diesel in a can.. then throw matches at it. Nothing will happen. And I'm not being sarcastic or funny. The flash point for diesel is much higher than gas...

^^^ Did u get that from Monster Garage?? Why don't you try it out? My chemistry teacher told me that you could technically throw a match in a bucket of gasoline and the liquid would just put it out, but would you really wanna try it?

it is true, the liquid form doesnt burn, it is the fumes

Just saw your guys' diesel ideas, yes that will work any petroleum product will deteriorate asphalt... thus why gas pumps are surrounded by concrete. Straight diesel will do it (gas works too, but evaporates fairly quick.. this is a 1 month job with an application of diesel every week considering no friction other than the stang rubbing)

I live about an hour south of Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course. Rumor has it that NASCAR wanted to make this one of their road course races, but they couldn't because of how "sloppy" they were with fuel. The other big shots that have used the track over the years (CART, American LeMans, etc.) use fuel rigs which shut off the fuel flow, but NASCAR's ways would have destroyed pit lane in one weekend of racing.

Honestly, there has to be some legal grounds with the speed bump thing. I have Eibach springs on mine and I have issues with speed bumps in a couple places. Even though I did the lowering on my car there are still even lower cars that come from the factory like that...heck, half the cars we sell at work are lower! So how can they legally place something in a public accessed roadway that is damaging to people's personal property. The only leg they have to stand on is that an appartment complex is "private property" which pretty much gives them the right to do as they wish. However, you signed a contract with them which gives you every legal right to be there, going over that speed bump, causing damage to your car and giving you the right to have them fix it. If it was there when you first moved in it would be one thing, but since they did it after you signed the contract they should remove it or shave it down.

I'm general good on speedbumps...coming down off steep inclines gets me though, the lil rock guard panel thingies behind the front tires are one of the lowest parts on the car...I've scraped them TWICE and it kills me everytime.

Pay good money for a Mach 1 chin spoiler, work extra hard to make sure everything is lined up just right then pull up to a curb or a parking lot block and see that thing folded under in the middle. MAN, that sucks! :( :( :(

You are correct, but you are lowering the flash point it when you mix it up paint thinner. Also, when you pour the diesel out of the can, it starts to vaporize.. I dunno but I think it may catch fire easier.
