When driving around in my Mustang: At almost every intersection people would wait for me to go, no matter who was there first. I NEVER got cut off, ricers would very rarely try to pass me on the right (heh try is the key word). No one would take chances like backing out of a yard in front of me or whatever. I can't wait to finish my other engine because this one will be louder and the rough idle can only make things better lol.

Now with the ZX2, I get cut off, I have counted over 10 close calls in less than a week. Intersections can be crazy because everyone wants to go at the same time. LOL I don't drive like a nut, I go a little over the speed limit (like 55 ish in a 50 zone, and 80 in a 70 zone). I keep my distance and my eyes open. Even kids on bikes will throw themselves on the road in front of me, damn good thing I have a habbit of slowing down near bike paths or there would be 2 less kids going to school this year

Who else notices a difference when driving their Mustangs compared to daily drivers?

When I'm driving my mustang;
- People move over so I can pass them.
- Cops are always checking out my plates.
- Cops will pull me over for speeding even while minivans pass me.
- Since having a convertible with the roof down carries sound, when I start cursing up a storm people know to get away .

When I'm driving my thunderbird;
- Its like people INTENTIONALLY BLOCK me from passing.
- I can go blasting down the road at any speed and cops don't bother me.
- While more people are likely to cut me off, I'm praying one hits me... insurance time ding ding!

i guess my Mustang just isn't loud enough?

...or maybe all Toronto drivers are just bad drivers.

My 73 stang is loud, old and primered so everyone pretty much gets out of my way. Suprisingly the cops really don't pay too much attention to me anymore. Since I primered my stang they just stoped bothering me. I miss getting pulled over for a personal interduction to every new cop in town.

My car is actually quite quiet considering not one piece of factory exhaust on it. Now if I want it to get loud then I just pull the plugs on the warlocks and have that nice loud open header sound

Next year going to try out Some LT's an X pipe instead of my H and some Spintechs. I am told it is a wicked sound.

i find this too, when im in either of my stangs people seem to move out of my way so i can pass, but neither of my cars are all that speical. i think people just look and say mustang! and they get scared. when im in my wifes taurus(a v8 SHO, but people dont seem to know what that is) people just dont seem to even see me, and still when im in my wifes mini van people just totally ignore you or drive around you like i am a road block.
so i think its just the look of the car, the agressive styling may scare people when they look in the rear view.
