Dash Emblem

I just bought a 25th anniversary dash emblem for my 89 lx. I thought it would just stick on , but it made so you have to drill holes. Can anyone give me any tips on how to mount it right?

If it has pin like things on the back for mounting i'd grind em off with dremel and use some sort of 3M type double sided tape to stick it to the dask. Im not sure how the "stock" one is fastened but id rather not drill my dash if it were me.

I ground the plastic studs off with my dremel tool and used black RTV to stick it to the dash. Worked like a champ.

I just drilled. Two small holes and it preses in.

Measure 5 times...drill once

I actually just wear one as a necklace now LOL. I just shaved off the pins on the back, drilled a small hole at the top and put a really small key ring through it with a beaded chain. Looks pretty sharp if i may say so myself. PS the horse on my dash was not harmed at all in the process, it's still intact.
