dash lites with cig/ horn fuse in

hello boys here is a good one put your thinking caps on during the summer i fried my sons comp on his 90 mustang(shorted out the coil and it did some damage to the comp ) got a new one and everything is ok. but........here it is.. put the fuse in that operates the horn/cig relay and the dash lights go on???? what the hell. horn blows cig liter works put the fuse in dash lights. dash lites also go on with switch.. really stumped on this one can anyone help. larry

the switch is off as soon as i put the fuse back in the dash lights come.the dash lights get brighter when i flip the switch. i pulled the horn relay and put the fuse in and the dash lights came on with the fuse in the horn and sig. are ok. stumped larry

Check for more blown fuses or burned fusible link at the starter. It is back feeding and searching for a ground. Also could be a missing or bad ground.

ok ill try that in the morning and ck. grounds i did fry the computor and two fusible links about a year ago just left it that way my son got me to rebuild the motor and just waiting to get my comp from ebay..ill keep you posted thanks just wish it wasnt so cold out side larry
