Took my 2005 Roush in a couple days ago to get a new gas tank and my dash lights fixed. My dash lights, when dimmed, would suddenly get bright and go back to dimmed. They tried the switch and it wasn't it, so they replaced the smart box. I don't know if the problem is fixed yet, but I noticed that I now have daytime running lights! Does anyone know how to disable this????

For the record, my dash lights do appear to be fixed. I have a manual transmission and I am also suprised to see I have the auto lock feature now also.

Finally took my car back in yesterday to ask about the DTLs. I got it back today and it turns out that there is a new part number for the smart junction box that supersedes the previous ones. So anyone who has this replaced will get the new part. It comes with all the features for the Mustang turned on. They flashed what they called the GEM module (I assume this is the junction box) with as built data and now my DTLs are turned off and no more auto locks. Fine with me and I am happy now.

Being that there is a new part number for this module, I would expect that all the 2006 models will have this and also mean that they will also all have DTLs.

The only features I know of so far are the DTLs and autolocks. The autolocks used to be only found on cars with automatic transmissions. The DTLs were optional. There might be more, I don't know.
