I know you guys in the USA don't have these annoying things, but up here in Canada, we have to have them. Does anyone here know how I can disable the damn things. I know there is nothing different between the USA and Canada cars, so it must be possible to turn the daytime runners off.

Thanks guys.

By the way it is for the wife's 2005 not my 87.

Can you be ticketed for not having them? If so I wouldn't mess with it. Otherwise, I'm sure someone here knows how to disable them.

It is more of a inspection thing at the time of purchase. You do legally require them, but it is really not enforced.

you would have to have a ford tech hook your car up to their computer and disable the day time running lights, the smart junction box controls this feature.

Do the DRL's illuminate the in-bumbper lights? or the headlights?

the DRL's are the headlights, but I was lucky >>>>> when I imported my car from the states, and had to turn the damn things on, I asked them to run the module thru the parking lights. Good for HID's in the future (DRL's run on 80% power, HID's like 100%)
