Dead clock. Common issues?

My 94 has a dead clock. No lights or any signs of life since I bought it. I understand this is pretty common but is there a fix for it or am I just stuck getting another unit and rolling the dice?

There is a non stock radio in the car, but other than that the interior is stock.
