Dead soft gaskets

I'm getting ready to put some headers on my 289 and have a set of the Percys dead soft gaskets but they don't have any instructions. One side is really smoot and the other is concave, I'm guessing the smooth side goes to the head and the concave to the header but I want to be sure.
