I want to spray either a Hidden 50 shot system or a 70-100 shot system. Here's what I got:

63k Original Miles
Explorer Intake
Phenolic spacer
70mm TB
76mm MAF
Adjustable Fuel Pressure Regulator
Stock cam/heads/injectors

What will I have to upgrade- or do I just run a colder plug and 10 degrees timing

Will a 100 shot on the stock car work:shrug:

Do I need to upgrade my fuel pump

Thanks!!!

Strype....car will be fine..and FAST...you need to look at a pump upgrade for sure IMO, I'd say 190 or 255, colder plugs (1 step) pull 2 degrees of timing for every 50 HP and you're golden. For really safe I'd say 10 degrees unless the temps are HOT..them MAYBE 8.

But I dontwanna mess with the pump :(

What about an inline booster

An inline booster will 'usually' not do you any good unless you're running elevated fuel pressures. Most inline boosters are not able to pump as much fuel volume as a 255L in-tank pump. I believe that the one that comes with the Vortech S-Trim is only rated for 190L.

Option B: Install a Kenne Bell boost-a-pump (BAP). You can activate it with the same window switch that you use for your nitrous and it will crank your 88L stock pump up to 137L/hr when the window switch activates it. Should be MORE than enough for a 100 shot.

The best part is that if you upgrade your motor even more and again upgrade your intank pump, you can STILL use the boost-a-pump with a 255L in-tank. A 255L in-tank will produce as much as 322L/hr with a BAP to back it up.

It's an easy install. You should be able to knock it out in about 30 minutes.

Other plusses:

Fuel pumps heat fuel
Large fuel pumps heat fuel even more
BAP only kicks in when activated so fuel is not heated any more than it would be with just the stock pump.
