Ok guys I've decided I'm going to get 95 Cobra R wheels (chrome 17x9 all around) for my car sometime down the road.

I've seen a few cars with Cobra R's and there are some that look different than others. I was wondering if there are any brands I should stay away from and if anyone knew why these look different. I'm thinking AFS might be the company that makes the ones that look different?

I bought the FRPP 95 Cobra R wheels for my car.... I have heard that the Ford wheels are stronger than some of the knock offs.....and you can get them for around 175 per wheel at lots of places.... I know I have hit a lot of things with my wheels and still running true....

Yeah there are a few different styles that look the same. Ford offers the SVT 03 Cobra, SVT 2000 Cobra R, SVT 98 Cobra, SVT Cobra 99, And the SVT Cobra R Which looks to be my favorite. Go to http://www.tirerack.com And you can see what they look like on your car!

or maybe you just want a played out wheel that is really affordable. Its all good man, there are others interested. Good luck with the R's.

IMHO the TTII's are the best with the 200S a close second for the 94-98 since it has the soft rounded body style, the reason the 200S is second is due to the harder lines in the rims. And I just feel the rebels are good but would look better on the hard lined 99+ cars, still a nice rim though. I have nothing but good things to say about ARE quality as they are a legend in the rim world.

Also a big +(again my.02) is the ARE's dont come in the 10.5 but an 11 and that makes it alot safer for larger tires and makes them look even larger.

The Rebels are really nice. That pic doesn't show it justice. The lip on it is way more aggressive then anything out there from the factory. It's chrome plated alloy and comes with a warranty. Doubt the others will give you that. The TTII's with a 17X11 wrapped in 315's or 335's is just insane.

i didn't know that the 17x11s would fit our car, that's huge!

Those ARE wheels are pretty nice, but I saw a white GT in Bowling Green with chrome 95 R's on it and pretty much feel in love with it.

Down here though I only know of 2 cars with the Cobra R's on them.

Anyways I'm thinking I'm just gonna get the FRPP ones, seems like the safest bet.

You know its gonna happen Rob, It doesn't seem like they are common right now, but thats because they are too new. Sooner or later they are gonna get played, just like everyother affordable wheel that isn't frpp. If you want something uncommon its gonna be custom and its gonna be expensive.
