I decided I want the 03 cobra wheels on my 90GT. And I will be purchasing the ford racing cobra 5 lug conversion for it. What rubbing issues will I have? If i run 245s up front and 275s for the rear. I also plan on lowering the car with springs later. Just have to have these wheels, I know the fenders are also smaller than 91-93s. Will I have minimal rubbing or will I be irritated? Let me know what you guys think. Also will these wheels work with this 5 lug conversion and can I lower it with no problems? Thanks for any help. BTW, machined or chrome wheels on a black GT?

If you use the Ford Racing kit that has the SN95 style front you will be OK. I run the 275 on the back of my car that is lowered 3 inches and they rub like crazy. I believe most people run a 235 on the front. With a 1.5 drop you should be OK with a 275 rear 235 front split.

I don't think that you will have rubbing issues as long as you don't go to low. I have had 275s on the front before and the only time the rubbed was when I had the steering at full lock when going slow. I have 245s on the front now and it doesn't rub bad, but my car sits pretty low. I have Eibach sportlines on the car now. 275s will be fine on the back as long as you don't have the rear of the car loaded with people.

What do you mean with the ford racing kit with 95 spindles? Does the kit from ford racing come with SN95 spindles? I will lower it about 1.5. So 245s and 275s should be okay? Just want to make sure before I purchase. Thanks for any advice stangers.

Looking at the instructions for m-2300-k kit from ford racing an it says you need a welder. What for? Sorry for so many questions in one thread=just want to get it right!

I cannot see how you will need a welder you will be OK with a 1.5 drop. They are the SN95 style so you are good to go. I would watch the 245 front though.
