Well I test drove a couple C6 Vettes, Grabber Blue 5.0 and a 05 281 Saleen. I really love how the more refined newer cars feel but I really really don't want a car payment due to saving for a house. I need to be smart and save and not be compulsive and get a new toy. Boy is it hard lol. anyway.... I am bored with my Stang. I need to do some mods to make it more exciting to me again and I can't decide what????? I need all your opinions on what I should do??? So far I am contemplating between these mods.

.Vortech V1 - will make the car much more fun to drive and it will have a very cool idle.

.Borla stinger cat back with slp catted X - that combo will make anyone drool and will be a nice different sound than the typical flow masters.

.Saleen kit with wing - will give the car a nice sleeker look but unfortunatly will still lack performance.

I need some input. Obviously the Vortech kit will cost the most but it will def put a smile on my face. Any other recommendations?

Possibly some 18 inch Fr500's or weld wheels? I do like my 01 Cobras just wish that they were 18's!

Exhaust is the best way to improve NA hp in our cars w/o opening up the heads and getting serious - the borla stingers also sound amazing and will make you want to keep what you got. If you are trying to save money this would be the way to go..... superchargers are expensive and would put a sizeable dent in your plan to purchase a house.

Exhaust. Body kits are pointless and don't look good IMO. Even the Saleen kit.

Get the blower and don't look back. You will get more enjoyment out of it then any of the other mods you listed. If you are smart about it you can do a complete vortech/FMIC setup on the cheap and make over 400 at the wheels no sweat.

I have been looking on craigslist for vortechs for the last 5 months and all I can find are foxbody kits. New the V3 is about 3700$. Wish I could find a complete used kit. eh.

Keep looking, even in other close cities. And try Ebay. I usually see the used complete kits for around $1,600-$2,000. I wouldn't spend more than $2,000 for one.

Go blower. I had the same dilemma. I was looking at FBodies and Cobra's and GTO's. Too much. I'm walking through houses now and saw a dirt cheap V2 kit off a Bullitt that had some water damage to the interior..Pieced the missing pieces and non compatible ones, sold the old stuff, had it bought, installed and tuned for exactly $2950. I could have installed it myself too and saved 10 labor hours through my buddies shop.

Watch the forums, especially the Corral. Buy a head unit and then just simply piece everything else for cheaper than a tuner V3 kit. You'll spend about $3k unless you install it yourself.

Well I'll say dont go blower. You have test drove more high performance all around cars, and you have youre head in the right place with looking to buy a house in the near future.

Get the exhaust combo, i'm on my third and cant imagine id be happier and you cant beat the sound of a stang with the right combo. Annnd after you get the house, get settled down get the newest grabber blue 5.0!

How much will a turbo run me? Installed, tuned and fuel mods? I do not have a lift and I hate working under cars!!! I would absolutely love a turbo/blow off valve mustang!

Yea all the cars that I want and tested are all faster than your typical 9lb of booste 2v stang. So i really would want a tad more power out of her. Turbo seems like the route to go but im sure that will break pockets.

I found a Vortech tuner/seller shop about 4 hours away from my house that offers a great deal! Vortech V1 kit, injectors, pump and in house tune for 3150$ installed and out the door. I wish they were closer but that does seem like a good deal! They said they usually can pull about 350-370 on there dyno jet safely.

Go blower. Take your time and wait for the right deal. I got an unimaginable good deal on my setup randomly because a guy had it all in his garage for years and the car had been long gone so sold it all for next to nothing. Sometimes deals like that do come around with patience.

Yea..I think it was 24k? Actually looked surprisingly nice with the 99-04 Saleens. Had Boss manifold, flows, shifter, sct tune, lip, wing, saleens, lowered....I almost picked that one up! I had to control my self. I even called the girlfriend and told her to talk me out of it heh.
