So I'm gonna be driving back home for thanksgiving (4 hours away) and i need an oil change. but where I'm at right now has just the basic brands of oil. I want a 5w-20 and I was planning on getting Royal Purple or Q full synthetic. But basically my choices are motorcraft and Mobil 1. So should I get one of these or hold off until I get home to get Royal Purple? BTW im planning on getting a dyno tune next week and I was trying to squeeze out every hp.

And another question, one of my idler pulleys is squeeling bad. I had the one next to the alternator changed, and the noise was still there. So I bought a tensioner pulley. Do I need to replace the pulley or the whole tensioner assembly?

Thanks

Mobil 1 supersyn is great oil, used it on every stang I own. Purple is nice but I would save the $$$ and gfet the Mobil 1. Lucas is supposed to start selling motor oil by the quart, thats what Im waiting for.

If you trying to sqeeze out every hp you can, I would get the RP. If your more concerned about getting the oil change before the road trip then Mobil 1 is your best bet. Be sure to let us know what the dyno #'s are when you get it done.

I can get Amsoil for the same price I pay for Mobil 1 which is what I use. I think I am going to try it as it is supposed to be the best oil out there.
