Hi
I have a 351W engine block with tha cast# D1AE 6015 DA 5.
This is what I know about it:
D1 = 1971
AE = ??
6015 = ??
DA = ??
5 = ??
Actually I don´t care that much about all the numbers, my biggest question is.
What is the deck hight of this block?
I know that Ford changed the hight from 9.48 to 9.50 somewhere -71-72.
Is there any sure way to find out ?
B.T.W
Did u know that SRP doesn´t have their dome-pistons for std bore. It came as a surprise to me anyway.
I Think it´s foolish to have a block bored if it´s not necessary.
I could have the pistons custom made for the nice price of 920 USD and wait for 3-4 weeks.
(sorry, just getting a bit frustrated)

In that case, mill the pistons .020
Seems to me there would be shorter 351 pistons as there are with the 289/302's. 289/302 pistons that are ..020 shorter are common (1.585 pin height)
