I am going to upgade my exhaust system in the next week or 2 and i wanted to know what you guys thought about MAC the local ford place says they can get a cat back system for pretty good price (what they say is a good price) I do not want some system for my cobra that sounds like crap but i do not want to spend a lot. probley around 350 to 400 for a cat back. i want a deep sound at idel but a scarry loud sound when i get on it. :worship:

had a mac prochamber on a 03 gt i sold ...loved the sound and power but quailty control is bad...didnt fit wright had problems with leaks on passenger side header and a couple of pin holes in the beads on the weld  The cat back was ok except you cant get them in stainless

For the sound you describe...I myself, just couldn't be happier with my (hopefully) torque improving catted H pipe with Delta 40s, turndowns and all pipe in 2-1/4" size!

It is very deep and fairly quiet when laying low, driving easy, but no mistaking the fact that there is a potent automobile coming! Whenever you want you just get into the throttle a little bit and the sound becomes high horsepower personified! 4000-5000 rpm on the freeway in 4th is just V-8 music to my old ears.

Wide open thottle...and some rpms...and they scream...not like a Ferrari scream...more like a WELL tuned American V-8 pounding the pavement!

Okay, I may have gotten a little dramatic there...but it is the truth.

And I just LOVE the slight, deep burble sound they make when decellerating in gear...great in-car atmosphere.
