Did FRPP replace it for you at no charge or did you have to buy another one?
, 'cause if they determine them to be "fine" then I'd be out a set of "usable" gears because they might not send them back to me.Jinx102672 said:I had to buy another set, so that Ford could finish the job. Ford wanted another $200 just to put the 3:27s back in. I spoke with a Rep. from FRP and they want me to ship (at my expense) the "defective" gears to them so they can make the determination for themselves. That sounds kinda fishy to me, 'cause if they determine them to be "fine" then I'd be out a set of "usable" gears because they might not send them back to me.

Jinx102672 said:That's what I thought, but I kept them in the box until they were ready for install. I wish I could just send pictures to FRPP and if they want to take a closer look I'll send them the gears.

Yeah, if you look at this pic, it looks like, by the way the damage looks, that it looks like something hit it. Alsmost looks like some kind of residue where it hit too.
Jinx102672 said:There's no residue, it's just the way the light bounces off the gear (still as some gear oil on it.) I wiped most of it off with a paper towel before taking the pic.
So would it be worth the money and effort to ship them back?
