Degreeing a TFS stae 1 Camshaft... HELP!
Hey yall.. the TFS stage 1 cam is in.. no problems there... but the cam card in the box was for a 454 chevy engine!
Is this cam setup to be installed straight up or advanced?
Is it necessary to buy the dial indicator and degree wheel just to setup one cam? no one rents one around here....
right now i got the cam installed, and the #1 piston at TDC (Well best guestimate considering i dont have a dial indicator). i have the timing set installed at 12 and 6 o'oclock.
Now where do i go from here? Finish intalling the timing cover and heads etc and then degree the cam?
Is degreeing the cam basicly a way to double check the manufacturers specs of a specific camshaft?
Im sorry, this is my first engine build, and i have no one experienced to work with, so help me out guys.. im really confused and dont want to screw anything up..thanks
