Deleting EGR...Do I need new intake gaskets??

Well the manifold is already torqued down and the manifold gaskets had the hole in the middle for the EGR passage from the head, since the EGR is going to be deleted from the PCM along with the air pump do i need to change out these gaskets?? will it cause an issue??

This is a felpro gasket set for my 5.0. No.2 goes where it looks like a puzzle peice in the gaskets. They delete the egr. I guess if you didnt use them you could just keep your egr spacer on and put an egr block off plate where the valve sits.

Im just going to be running a 3/4" egr delete plate on my fox tb conversion, my gaskets didnt coma with any of that stuff...maybe because there the race port gaskets, so i shouldnt have to change the gaskets correct??

I beleive you shouldnt have to. Someone else will probably chime in. I think the reason for the block off in my gasket set is if you intend to delete the egr spacer as well. And i beleive the plate your talking about is so you dont have to go back and change out the lower gasket but requires you to keep the spacer and use a block off plate. So yes, i think you should be good. Makes sense right? U could always wait till someone else chimes in though to be certain

Well that plate im talking about IS to remove the EGR spacer all together, it's where the thottle linkage is goint to bolt on to now...i think it's 3/4" or 3/8" maybe im not sure but i will not be running the egr spacer.

There is no need to mess with the upper to lower intake gasket, nor the lower to head gasket.

I would get a gasket or make one for the spacer that goes over the EGR mounting location.

So dont even touch the intake gaskets then? even though im running a fox tb set-up, remember i have NO egr spacer just the 3/8" plate to delete the spacer

Remembering back to when i had my fox, the coolant just ran into and out of the spacer plate, not into the intake from there.

Someone else with a less foggy memory feel free to chime in.

To be sure, you should be able to eyeball the passages on the throttlebody opening of the intake and see if there are any coolant passages (I don't believe there are).
