Detailed the engine bay

Changed up the appearance of the engine bay

After installing my black MM adjustable CC plates last year I decided to do something different this year and get rid of the blue stuff in my engine bay, intake couplings, radiator hose couplings, plug wires, dist. cap. I also pulled off some of the chrome covers and caps I had. I kept some pieces, CAI, firewall cover, fuse box cover & strut tower brace. I then tuned it up, cleaned the TB & MAF bumped the timing to 12 degrees (which, for my car, had it running the best) and I replaced the cap & wires with black MSD products. I wanted to replace the blue CAI couplings with black versions. I found some black intake couplings and upper radiator hose couplings from Intercooler Pipe Fabrication - Silicone Intake Systems Auto Partshttp://http://. Really fast shipping. I would highly recommend them.

I think it looks better...>>>for now, LOL

Man I can't get over on how much better it looks now...

only thing i see is removal of the stickers, Ditsy cap, wires, couplers and diff C&C plates

looks good

Thanks.

The changes are subtle. I pulled off most of my chrome covers: the PS pump, radiator cap, brake fluid reservoir, overflow bottle, washer fluid. I swapped out the steel braided hoses in the back, swapped out the 5.0 upper intake plate, took off the battery connector covers, took off all of the corrugated hose covers, relocated a couple of things off of the friewall, rotated the 1st piece of the CAI so the sensor is down and out of sight. Others wouldn't notice that stuff if they didn't know my engine like I do, but yeah that's pretty much it. I like subtle changes. I've had it since new back in '94 so I get bored with it every once and a while, and what I liked before, changes over time. I guess like most of us do if you've had your Stang long enough. Cleans things up, which it what I was going for - just a new look for this year, you know what I mean?
I probably should have titled the post: Changed up the appearance of the engine bay
