Hey guys, Shelby Township here.

I was directed to this thread for my problem, and hope someone is able to help me.

Basically I have a blown "header gasket", I think it happened when I hit some major potholes one night. The car sounds like junk because of it, and I was told that this is a rather difficult fix, the exhaust shop will work on it since my pipes are o/r. (Borla Stingers + o/r prochamber, stock headers)

I don't have the techincal know-how to do this job, and need this fixed pretty badly. I am in the Detroit area, (Sterling Heights area to be exact) and am willing to travel within a 1 hour radius to anyones place to get this fixed. I'll provide the gasket + pay for the labor. Also if you are willing to fix it just let me know whenever works for you, I am free on Fridays-Monday.

Or if anyone knows someone who works/owns a exhaust shop and will do the job as kindof a under the table job (I've *heard* of lots of exhaust shops that will do work on our stangs without the converters before, which is why I mentioned this), please let me know.

I'm really in a bind here and would really appreciate it if someone can help a fellow stanger out!

I pulled my old motor christmas eve. Since then (including christmas day) I've been transfering the FEAD and injectors etc. to my new motor. I'm also taking the time to paint the firewall/transmission tunnel with rust-preventative paint..... its taking a while.

As for your alignment, I would look into a local dealer. Seems to me they had some coupons in the newspaper lately for a few bucks off an alignment.

Hey guys
Been a long time, been spending most of my computer time on the dieselstop and on ebay.
Lots of projects going on...
Need to finish the ski boat restoration and lots of house / shop projects, then get focused again on the stroked Windsor for the '69, I had Joel's on Joy build the C4 w/brake, but still need to get a converter, and then put it all together....

When the season starts up again, my car club rents Milan the third thursday of every month all summer long, if you want to get in a lot of runs, that's a great night to do it.

When I had my '90LX, I got in 20 runs in one night!

Hey guys, long time no... post. I sold the '88 GT at the end of the summer and now have a '97 GT. Currently swapping to a manual. Looks like everyone else has been busy as well.

Correct, FME, for ford employees, but all Ford enthusiasts are welcome to participate. I've heard rumors of a price increase for next year, and this year we had to start charging for spectators (like $2) to help cover expenses cause some nights were not well attended.
I'm the VP you'd think I'd know!
I think it's going to be $35 to race this coming year, gatest open at 5pm, racing usually starts at 6pm, sometimes there's a heads up bracket single elimination race set up depending on interest, racing goes usually until 10pm.

It's a blast. Love to see some of you guys out there, Now I just have to get my engine built! I'm still fighting with main studs, girdle, milodon pan, milodon windage tray (moroso one didn't fit so well, even after some slicing and dicing)

Did you go to Livernois a few weeks back? I did....

The prices are going up again? Last season (05) they were 35$ to race + 2$ to get in... so racing cost you $37.

Whereas in 04 the price was a flat 30.... I hope its not going to increase further.

checking in

Farmington Hills/Amsterdam checking in.

I have been stuck in the Netherlands for the past few years and am hoping to get back to MI only there doesn't seem to be much of a market for telecomnumication lawyers. I am so desparate, I would even move to Grand Rapids if I had to.

I guess I could just move back and walk up and down the Cass corridor with a sign around my neck "Will sue for food".

Yup
I was at Livernois, they ran my diesel on the dyno for me for free, that was a humbling experience, much lower numbers than I expected, I must have a leak around the turbo somewhere, but they did not have a boost gauge to record with the power / torque.

I think the prices of $35 to race and $2 to spectate will stay steady... I'll let you guys know if that changes.

As far as fixing the exhaust leak, I have a shop in the canton area, and would be willing to fix your exhaust manifold leak, but you'll have to wait until I get back from Florida on the 23rd.

So, how are everyone's projects coming along?

I brought my car out this afternoon for a quick blast around the block. I was spinning my 275 Nitto DRs at 3000 in 2nd gear.... =)

Figured I would check in also! Didn't even know this part of Stangnet existed.

So many winter projects. So little time. I have got a clutch job that needs to get started, repair the front brakes (stock) and finish getting parts for my 3G alternator install.

You'll love the difference the alternator upgrade makes.
