Diablo Chip/Auto tranny Question

I ordered a Diablo chip and I have it set up for the my gear swap that I haven't done yet. I have Auto tranny and I know the chip will increase my line pressure so it will shift correctly when I get in the gears installed. My question is if I install the chip before the gears will I have any shifting problems since the line pressure will be increased to firm up the shifts?

Shift pressure has nothing to do with diff gear ratio. The chip corrects the speedo for the new gear ratio. However, most chips do also increase line pressure. You can install the chip now but your speedo will be off. Also, you should install a tranny cooler. There was a great thread about tranny coolers, it should still be on the first or second page...
