Diablo Chip Question......

I recently switched over to SCT X-Cal 2. My 03 GT 2V automatic was tuned with a CMR Diablo Sport Chip.

A friend has a 97 T-bird automatic with a 4.6L V8.

Will this chip work in the T-Bird. I'm thinking the computers in both cars are the same.

Will the tune from my Mustang work as well. I didn't have any mods and it was an off the shelf street tune. The t-Bird is the same just a CAI.

The chip itself should work, but it'd need to be reprogrammed for his car.

I was thinking he would have to spring for a reprogram on the chip.

Just trying to see if the chip will work in his car.

omg.. dont show me a pic of that chip. i had such a PITA horrible time trying to get one of those in wth the pats system and cleaning the connector piece.. and after gaining knowlede on tuning and chips, i realized theres no adjustability with that diablo piece. anyways, gl with the swap itl need a retune but will work
