Bucking, hanging idle problem I've found numerous posts about it, and basicaly no final answers/solutions. I'm going to autozone and get the codes pulled tommorrow. But in the meantime wondering, what happened???? Did the problem go away, was it the TPS, the throttlebody, the Spark Plugs, or the EGR, was the car running lean, rich etc....These were all possible soultions but again, the people with the problems never posted back on what was wrong!!!!

Thanks, its a start.....what is the WDS system, Is it done by the dealer only? If so, how much does it cost to get it checked?

Might want to check with Ford. Almost all of those TSB's are covered under the factory warranty.

i had a bucking / surging problem... mine ended up being the fuel pump... we hooked up a computer to the diagnostics port and saw that my fuel pressure was dropping to ***** and i needed a 255lb fuel pump... but then again im blown so your case may be different

i have the same problem...that and starting the car after it had been shut off after a couple minutes..it started hard...j/ took it to ford yesterday..they said they ran it through the comp and nothing was wrong..i said it's not j/ me feeling it the car starts hard...they said if it persists go back...they must think i'm stupid.."it's a big engine..it'll shake". I figure since i'm gettin s/c i'll j/ get a good tune for it...cuz that's prolly it..."something" needs to be tuned

Mine did it before and after the tune! Which leads me to think it's "mechanical", or "sensor" related.

I had a hard start problem when the motor was hot. The dealer replaced the IAC and all was well.

Of course I had to take it in three times with the standard "...can not reproduce the problem" results before I got them to believe me.
