Track opens April 1st. I'm still hesitant to go, as I blew my HG last year and still don't quite know why...
But I've been thinking, and I'm probably stupid for not giving this any consideration before, but on several of my runs last year, I remember hearing random 'ticks". They weren't a loud clanging like you hear with bad detonation, but kinda like when you turn off your car after driving fr awhile, and the engine makes all sorts of "ticks" and tings" and little noises from the heat, i assume...
Kinda like that. Not a loud racket, but tick here, a tick there.... It mighta been worse than I gave it credit for...
So, could that have been detonation, and could it have blown my HG?
My timing was "roughly" 14-15*, as my balancer isn't marked as well as it probably could be....
