So I was a a swap meet all day (and I have this sunburn to prove it) and I found what I thought might have been a deal but I wasn't 100% on it so I didn't buy.

The guy had a set of 2005 - 2009 GT500 Brembo OE brakes, the beautiful 6 piston calipers with rotors, hoses and all.. While they were indeed used the wear on the rotors was minimal and at a cost of $750 (probably could have talked him down, heard him saying he had not sold anything all day) I think I should have bought them.
The reason I didn't look into them more is because I am uncertain if they would fit my '01 GT.

Anyone have any input?

JMO but, if I had the spare cash to buy those, I would, b/c you can make anything fit if you have the know how, you could have bought them soley for the reason to sell them again for profit. Thats what swap-meets are for.

Yeah, I thought about that while I was there, but since I wasn't really sure about them, I didn't buy them. So they would not fit an 01? At least with not without some fabricating?

Correct. You could have bought them just to sell to someone with an '05-'09 to make a profit though.

You can make them fit. There are adapter brackets out there.

But to be honest, you could prob find a used 2000 R brembo kit for about the same if not cheaper and it will bolt right on. You would need 18" wheels however. Unsure how big you need for the gt500 kit
