As many of you probably know at the end of the season I burned up my supercharger and it is time to rebuild it. I ordered a rebuild kit to rebuild it but I didn't show up in time for the weekend. So with nothing else I could do, I decided to put it on the polishing wheel while it was apart. I thought it came out pretty good and I know some of you like the bling so here it is.

On a curious note, are your accessory brackets powdercoated or painted? I was thinking about getting mine powdercoated in the spring, and doing a ton of underhood cleaning.

How's the paint holding up? I was more concerned with the prep and paint, versus just having them powdercoated, but painting would definitely be cheaper.

Well as you can see from the pic it has held up well. I haven't touched them up any and it was done 2 years ago. Lol, its not a daily driver, but I do use it and I guess if your prep is good it should last. I used dupli-color satin black.

What is really impressive about your ca...your skill, that you just keep finding ways to make it better and not just a pile of nice parts.

Oh, on the bracket thing. I had mine powdercoated silver metalic like my intake and like the way it turned out. Super easy to clean up and very durable. I found a local guy who was starting up his own coating business and IIRC it cost me like $30. I sanded the casting marks smooth and the coater bead blasted them to clean them up before coating.

looks awesome man! I have to say I like the looks alot better without the decal, looks more custom, and brings together the clean look you have goin on.

Looks great Tom.

Have you ever thought about scotch brighting it though so that its finish would match that of the intake and valve covers? I think it looks great now polished, but it was just a thought.

I think it would look awesome either way, like what Paul said, or polished. The polished look goes well with the pulleys and polished TB. I wish those were decisions I had to make on my own car!
