What up my fellow stangers! I currently have 2 chamber flows on my car with a BBK Off-Road X. For some reason, my mechanic lost all his loose change and it ended up in my exhaust. Or at least that is what it sounds like! The exhaust sounds great except for the abnoxious raspy rattle between 2700 and 3000 rpms and heavy load. I hear when a chambered x-pipe is combined with chambered muffles, a sound of pennies in a coffee can is present and that is what I am experiencing. So, I plan to rid my bbk o/r x and go with the drgas truflow design x-pipe. Would this solve my raspy rattle problem? Would it be louder? I would like the car to remain at the current volume, if not quieter. What can I expect from this change? Thank you for your help and input.

This is what many complain about when combining an X with Flows. Go with an H.

problem is the mufflers that change you hear is the extra flow making the flowmaster baffles rattle because they are all rusted

Since you said they're not very old, could it be that they're loose at the joints? If you welded them my theory is out the window. Otherwise I'd check clearances and make sure everything is bolted up nice and tight.

Did anyone lose their change

Let me correct my spelling and restate my question! If I decided to replace my bbk o/r x-pipe with a Dr. Gas X-pipe, would I still experience that awful rattle like raspyness?

Its the bbk X-pipe that is causing the rattling sound. I ran that same pipe with 2 chamber flows dumped and it was the worst thing I have ever heard in my life. I then put the american thunder catback on and it still had that annoying rattling/resonating sound. I know run a VRS X-pipe on my cobra and it sounds bad ass with my flowmasters. The bbk X-pipe has been sitting in the garage collecting dust for close to year now.
