Did the GT exhaust change from '01-'02?

I was thinking of getting the FRPP catback exhaust (p/n M5230M52) for my '02 GT but it says it fits '98-01 GTs. I didn't see anything listed for '02 and later GTs. I would assume that the catalog just hasn't been updated (it's a 2004 catalog) and that all GTs from '98-later have the same exhaust. Does anyone know for sure or at least if it would fit on my '02?

Yep, it fits. Have one on my 2002 GT.

Interestingly, when I called the Ford Racing "help line", they told me "oh no, it's for '98 - '01s." Not satisfied (why would Ford change the exhaust from 2001 to 2002??), I called GEFracing...they said yes, it certainly does fit; we installed one just the other day. Ordered it right then and there. Fit perfect when installed.

Thanks for the info. That's the catback that I want and thought it was strange that 02's would have a different setup. I tried calling the FR help line too but never could get through to anyone, sounds like they would've just told me what the catalog says anyways. I was going to call GEF next as that's who I'm going to order it from. Thanks again!

I ordered mine thru GEF... do youurself a favor and request the use extra packing material.. My first shipment got destroyed and had to send it back, the 2nd shipment got all banged up too but kept it.. It was hassle but GEF came thru in the end to there credit and not really there fault cause when the get the exhauest from Arvin they just use the Arvin packaging which is just a big box with the pipes thrown in it and the way ups ships well they dont care...

But i love the sound, not to loud and not to quiet and NO DRONE.. I just added a MRT catted H and really opened up the sound..love it...

Fitment...pretty good

go to ww.mustangexhaust.com and check out the soundclips there... there are 2 clips with my setup....

Also, do a search here for it and look for Bigconig's thread about it; he did some videos of his car with it, and it sounds great. Made me glad I got mine, all over again...
