Did you ever hear of this tire/rim warrenty

I just bought a 2003 cobra and the dealer offered a tire/rim warranty. It is $399.00 for 5yrs. No matter what happens to the rim or tire it will be replaced for free. He said if the tire wears down a little, or the rim gets damaged by hitting the curb, just call the company and they will authorize it, I buy it, they pay me back. Do any of you guys ever hear about this or have it. It sounds worth it, not sure if there are any catches.

If not from ford, then try getting your already spent money back. You call a number and noone ever answers or they deny you claim and you have no recourse. Dealers make a huge markup on extended warranties, especially if not from ford.
