Thanks Matt.

I hope to see a lot of Classic folks here. I don't know much about the new cars, so I have to stick to what I know.

Whoops, sorry! Thought I'd posted already. Welcome to the mayhem. There's beer and harder stuff in the Closet fridge (between 65stanger's Barcalounger and the Jacuzzi), take your shoes off and dangle your feet in the Gutter.

In case you haven't figured out yet, this place needs a modification of the old bumper sticker:
"Get In, Sit Down, [Buckle] Up, and Hang On!"

Oh, you're gonna fit in good around here!
With Fritz (65stanger); Dan (Chepsk8) and their "little brother" Pakrat (Rich) on the East Coast, and with me over here "sorta" on the West Coast (186 mile-deep beach, interrupted by a small mountain range and the city of San Diego between me and the Pacific); you showing up to cover "flyover country" puts The StangNet Old Guy's Mafia all over the land!

As for Cougars - Well, what I really wanted was a '67 FB Mustang; what I got was a '73 XR-7! But she's got the same fanblade-to-rear-chunk drivetrain as my first car ('73 Gran Torino); she's been beat upon and/or neglected by several Idiot PO's (including my former son-in-law); and well, she kinda needs me.
Or I need her.
Something like that....

OBTW: Another of our merry band -who's actually been covering your neighborhood for some time out of Lubbock - goes by the screen-name of bnickel. He's going just the opposite of you..... selling his '69 Mustang for both a house down-payment and a starter bank for his '69 Cougar.

Thanks folks!!! I think this is the place to hang out I can cover the fly over...and if ya need I can cover the southeast too. Seems I have "investment" property in Fl. now.

Tell bnickel I'LL TRADE him a nice house in Florida for his 69 and well a little cash LOL.

I'm sure Bryan will drop in here (this thread) sooner or later...... I'm thinking he's not making plans to relocate to Florida; just trying to make room for his family and "stuff". And don't feel bad about his moving from a Stang to a Coog; if you follow his posts; he's gonna make his Kitty-Cat into a real "Stang-ified" screamin' road-machine. My plans for mine are to keep it a little more "undercover".... eventually it will look and act (most of the time) like the Mercury personal luxury sports car; but I can't forget how the Cleveland/FMX/9" chunk behaved in my Grannie, so........

Anyhoooo.... As I said earlier, "Welcome to the mayhem!"
Good stuff for your car over on Classic Tech; good stuff to give your stressed/tired brain cells a little vacation right here on Classic Talk. We get quite a few folks from the 5.0/Fox/SN94/SVT forums dropping in here..... apparently Classic Talk is the relaxation destination for people from all over.
So pop the top on one o' them 10 beers; watch your ice chest, 'cause somebody's probably gonna join you; and have fun. We even get guys like Bryan and myself that found StangNet before we found mercurycougar.net; and still can't seem to stay away.
