I am getting ready to install some 3:73's in my 95 cobra and I'm going to rebuild my trac loc while I'm at it. My question is should I buy the new carbon fiber clutch rebuild or the standard rebuild with extra clutches? If I do buy the carbon fiber rebuild can I reuse a stock clutch or two to add cluches in the rebuild without having to buy two 100 dollar rebuild kits?

I did mine this weekend, and i just used the regular clutches. Unless you are making some serious power, dont bother with the carbon fiber ones.

I am just wanting both tires to spin when I drop the clutch and that's something my car has never done since I've had it! Did you upgrade and add more clutches!

Adding new regular clutches will make it do that. And I didnt have any clutches that were good enough to add in, so I just did 3 on each side. Im guessing since you have one wheel peel, you wont have nay that are good enough to reuse either. Just get the regular kit and call it a day.

After I had it all together in the diff, I put the axles in and got my 250 lb friend to put a crowbar between the lugs, and I tried to turn one side with a 3 foot breaker bar.

I picked him up like almost a foot off the ground. So they hold pretty damn good.
