How often should you change your Differential fluid I have the OEM Traction Lock 8.8 with 4:10's.
T5 fluid I have the Z-Spec and brake fluid on a foxbody and what are the best fluids to change them with?
How much torque do make and what tires do you run? The 28 spline will take a [lot] of abuse. Dudes run blower setups and slicks on 28 spline setups every day.
I probably change my fluids too often, but it gives me something to do in the winter.
I use Mobil 1 gear oil, no friction modifier. 75W-140 in the diff.
In the T-5, i run Mobil 1 Mercon V ATF.
For Brake FLuid, i run the Valvoline Synthetic Dot 4.
Engine oil is Mobil 1 Synthetic
Ford Type F for power steering
If your replacing everything new, there is usually NO price difference ( or just a few dollars ) between 28 spline vs 31 spline..... Kind of a why not deal??
