What is the difference, if any....and can I get away w/ just a catch can...and not something that recirculates as long as I keep my radiator full...should it be an issue. I saw a thread where someone actually swapped the fittings and made the catch can into a overflow, they just had to fill it from the top.

i consider the difference that one just catches overflow, the other will catch overflow and have room to vent it.

i had a catch can and overfilled my radiator some, and it ended up blowing all the water out.

switched to a can that can release the overflow and no more problems.

just my opinion

the overflow container?

some of them you can. the one i had before was a connector at the top for the radiator, and at the bottom it had a valve. you could have it setup to flow through or catch it.

the one i have now is setup for the line from radiator and another line about halfway up the container that will let it drain.

Yeah, drain the can...I have the summit brand that has the drain at the bottom. It has the fitting at the top for the hose. I can just drain it right...Also will it be okay to mount it on the passenger side,...I have my drivers side full. I would just need to run a longer hose. Should that be okay.
