I'm looking to buy a '06 GT, but all of the ones I've seen on the lots have the satin finish. Does anyone have a picture of the Charcoal, what do you guys think of it?

Also can you still get it with the interior upgrade package (and the mycolor) or do you have to go with the Satin if you get the interior upgrade?

Thanks,

Matt

Mine should be here on March 11th and i ordered it. I can get ya pics then. There is a thread somewhere that a guy changed his, but i couldn't find it for ya.

And you can get the dark charcoal dash applique on the IUP package (with my color), in fact, i think you have to get the IUP to be able to select between satin and charcoal.

Ordering this Sat. Need help on IUP color (satin or charcoal)???

Thanks for the Offer SVTFREAK, either way i wouldn't mind seeing your new mustang .

But I'm going in this Saturday to put the order in, is there ANYONE that might be able to help me out, I've searched a ton of forums and websites in the hopes of finding a picture, just one, of what the charcoal package looks like as compared to the satin finish?

Thanks again

I cant find it but there is a site with pictures of the difference. Scroll to the middle of this page and there is a cobra with the charcoal.

I'd like to post a pic, however it is 179 kb's and apparently that is too large of a pic to post.

I have been through the same thing when I ordered my 06 GT with IUP and satin dash. No matter how hard I looked, I could not find any pics anywhere of the charcoal dash. My dealer couldn't even find any pics. However, if I am not mistaken, the GT500 has the charcoal dash trim. The new edition of Road and Track has an interior shot that should give you some idea of what it looks like. I also went to the 2006 Dallas auto show and saw a GT500. The charcoal looks nice, but I am not sure if I would order it or not, especially if I were considering black leather. It has a very subdued, almost somber look. If understatement if your thing however, the charcoal is probably it for you. Hope this helps.

That is it. I love the charcoal dash. Everyone comments on how good it looks. I have the charcoal cloth interior. It looks alot like carbon fiber. I liked the satin finish, I think the charcoal looks cooler with the charcoal int. I have not seen any light grey are parchment interiors with that trim. Not even sure if that is an optiion.

i ordered satin after seeing the charcoal IUP b/c I didn't like the way it contrasted with the charcoal interior. The satin doesn't clash so much and actually accents the interior imo. I was set on getting the dark IUP until i saw the way it looked with dark interior, and my desire to have the entire cars interior black won against having that dash.

It's a personal thing. Myself though I didn't mind the Satin but when I saw the charcoal option at a dealer in one of the Stangs on the lot I knew I'd be going for that one.

The charcoal dash trim makes much more sense on a convertible since the reflections aren't as strong off it.
