Different X-pipe bends?

Looking at trying out a X pipe with my MACs. Found one for $50 locally and figured for that price, why not. While I'm waiting, I did some googlefu image searching and been noticing a couple different configurations in the 'X' portion, and just curious if anyone knows why.

Or is this mostly cosmetic? The one I'm buying is like the one on the left

Just different manufacturing methods. The one on the right looks like a Bassani pipe as they have their own pre-made "x" portion with their logo stamp. Other vendors don't get as fancy to keep costs down.

If you want to go deep, dig up some of the Dr Gas archives as to the angle/location/pulse. Or phone a friend that can model some designs (fluid dynamics).
