Well I every brand I try to get doesn't have the matching tires I want. I bought deep dish bullits 17 x 9 for the front and 17 x 10.5 for the rear. I originally wanted 275s up front and 315s in rear. The tire that I want is the Goodyear Eagle F1 GS D3 but they dont make a 275. What do you guys think about running 255s up front and 315s in the rear? Would 255s be too much of a skinny tire on a 17 x 9 wheel. If I do go 255s would it be by 40 or 45 series. Please help guys I am trying to get my wheels put on my car. Thanks, I never knew this tire thing would be such a pain in the butt. :bang:

i would think 255 or 265 would be about right for 17x9- fronts. 245 (what i used to run on the front) is too narrow, lip of rim sticks out. 275 (what i'm running now) fits better, but causes some tracking problems.

Neither one would be exact. The best way to estimate the sidewall height is to take the first number times the second number as a percent. For example

245 X 45% = 110.25
255 X 45% = 114.75
255 X 40% = 102
315 X 35% = 110.25

I went with 275/40 Nitto 555s up front and 315/35 Nitto DRs in the back. I gave up trying to match the tires. Wherever I looked they either had one size or the other.

Good luck
