Disappointing Dyno results:(

Autos on the dyno can be somewhat an anomaly. Mine put down a disappointing 205hp/238tq bone stock. With Maganflow CB and Diablosport Predator tune, it made 216hp/250tq. That's still lower than many other stock autos I've seen, so i don't know... It could've been the dyno or conditions/climate that particular day...

Anyways, don't feel too bad. Autos were never meant to be dyno queen champions anyway. One with a good setup WILL perform a lot better than their "low" hp #s indicate. :nice:

02laser, you have just instaled that KB right? Where is the dyno? I personally would not even get on teh car until i ATLEAST had a dyno run to check A/F. I dont trust mailorder tunes (especially now, since my car is running LEAN).

And I agree with everyone else here. An O/R X would help, but it wont make a huge difference. I was expecting atleast 260RWHP, but then i realized what I had against me....no airflowover the engine, sealed ram air hooked up, DD bullitts (66pounds per tire/wheel), and 3.73 gears. And on top of that my A/F was between 13.9 and 14.9 almost all the way. Here is my graph

So after taking all that into consideration, my #s are about right on.
For you, I would get a second opinion (another dyno), to make sure. 210 seems super low. Oh and take it to the track, and see what it runs. You could just have a lemon motor. :(

341hp/352tq for a basically "stock" auto.

Conservative tune on 90 degree/90% humid day. 6th run

A/F is 11.5

I don't trust mail order tunes either. That's why I had Tim@MPH tune my car. He gave me a safe one, so I can stomp on it without fearing my motor will blow.

Hey, pretty good. And yea Tim is the only person i will trust when my FI goes on. You know, an O/R X will give you a good 20RWHP. And freeing up the exhasut is like free HP, in the sense that the extra HP comes from frreing up loss and not actually adding any strain to the motor. Go LTs while your at it. Should be seeing atleast 375RWHP I would guess. I bet the car moves now huh? Gotta love that instant torque.

The 4.10s are also robbing me of 8-10hp but gives me that extra 30+hp SOTP feeling. O/R X and longtubes are also in my future plans, but suspension must come next. I'm still running on stock 4x4. I need to replenish my funds, first. Wallet is a little thin right now. :(

But yes, the car MOVES! I've already made a few "passes" on an empty road in the country and my cheap Sumitomos actually hook surprisingly well, despite the 4.10s.
