Disc Brakes and 14" styled steel wheels

I would like to upgrade the brakes on my 68 coupe to disc, but I prefer to keep my factory styled steel wheels. I know using the 14" wheels narrows my options, has anybody seen a kit that clears these wheels?

Many kits will clear the 68 styled wheel, since these were made to fit factory disc brakes.

You won't have any problem using the Factory 68 Styled Syeel/GT Wheels on a Factory 68 Disc Brake System.

Those 14" will fit all 68 69 Front Disc Brakes Perfect. They did on all 68's then, they will today.

They will also fit the K/H Style 4 Piston Caliper Disc Brakes as used on 67 Mustang, Again, they did in 67, No Change today.

Both setups have the 11 19/64" Rotors with the Early 2 7/16" Center Hub, which is EXACT Fit for those Gt/Styled Steel wheels.

Many Misconceptions about the 14" wheels evolved because of the Smaller Granada rotors, with the Big Hub center, Which Will not accept the factory Wheels.

I used CSRP ordered over the phone and they work great with my factory 14s. The kit comes with everything you need as long as you have the V8 spindles. I think I paid $805 including shipping in February. That includes calipers, rotors, master cylinder, proportioning valve, fittings, and brake pads. Here is their link:

There is nothing wrong with the Granada swap for Mustang if you are willing to use 15" or larger wheels. The spindles are available with correct steering and suspension geometry for 65-66 or 67-73.

The original KH/Ford system OE to 65-67 is usually a better choice for 65-67 5 lug cars since it is original equipment. The Granada kit is a good choice for 6 cylinder 65-66 which lack the spindles necessary for the KH/Ford system. The KH/Ford system can also be installed on all 68-73 as well, if it has drum spindles.

A kit based on the OE 68-73 disc brakes is also available.
