Discharging Air Conditioning System

How do you do it?

Repair manauls say to take it to a shop. That's not an option.

Why is it not a option? Most shops have the capability of recovering the freon in the system when discharging.

Are you removing your AC system?

The vehicle doesn't run, and I need to remove the engine.

However, it's been taken care of.
