I've read more than a couple times that dc'd the front swaybar can help your 60's. I got another track event in a couple weeks and I want to try to get some 13's before the end of the year. I'll probably jack the passenger seat and really try to get some heat in the bfg's. Will removing the front swaybar really help at all and is there any write-ups on it?

Everywhere I have read, people say it does help, but I say a post on here once and most people say it didn't do anything. I personally think it might do a little and possibly improve 60ft times. After coming back from the track an hour ago, I thought about taking my sway bar off and seeing what happens. My best 60ft on 315 nitto dr's at 15 psi was like a 2.189 or something close to that. Thats not very good. I might give it a try on friday, but untill then I can't give ya a for sure answer.

the sway bars on our cars are not very heavy. I had min eoff for a while and then put it back on.

I guess anytime you take weight off of the front its gotta help weight transfer.

once i took it off I stayed in the 2.0s on 80 dollar street radials.

I have nittos now and I put it back on for the summer since i wasnt going to race anything but highway challenges on the way to work, and I went out with an instant loss of traction compared a earlier that day when i had it off.

having no sway bar scares passengers when you get on it you will need to turn slower of course and slow down for turns into parking lots.

From what I've heard your supposed to take it off when you get to the track and put it back on before you leave. I've been in my brother's 89 when he had it off and it didnt feel real bad. You just have to take it easy.
